Suze Orman: How to be powerful

— Suze Orman
Who Is Suze Orman?
Suze Orman went from waitress to financial powerhouse. In the 1970s, Orman worked at the Buttercup Bakery in Berkeley, California. The story goes that she dreamed of opening her own restaurant. She raised $50,000 in investments from her regular customers.
But Orman made the mistake of trusting a broker to handle her funds and lost it all in risky options trading. Furious but curious, she decided to learn how money really works.
She got herself hired at Merrill Lynch despite having no formal financial training. In months, she was managing millions and outperforming her peers.
Orman's career took off in the 1990s due to a string of bestselling books, regular appearances on Oprah, and 13 years of The Suze Orman Show on CNBC. She's sold millions of books, DVDs, and financial kits.
Orman's net worth is estimated at between $75 million to $100 million. She was born on 5 June 1951.
